Here Is How To Become A Member

NYCN Membership shall be in two categories (i) Active Nigerian youths among whom shall the executive be formed (ii) the Elderly who shall form the Patrons to give advice to the youths; and the active youth shall be open to:

  • Any Nigerian in Europe that is between the ages of 18 (eighteen) and 50 (Fifty); any age beyond 50 shall only be considered as Patron
  • Any Nigerian youth who fits into (I) or persons of Nigerian descent who is beyond the ages in (I) but is interested in advising and assisting NYCN Europe to achieve its aims and willing to abide by the rules of the Council
  • Anyone married to a Nigerian youth and is the age in (I) category
  • Every member shall have one vote at general meetings
  • Upon joining the Council every member is required to get an ID card that will be paid for by the person at the rate that correlates with the economy of the time
  • The Council's executive shall have the final say on all membership VII. All members are to abide by the Council's code of conduct

Termination of membership.
  • Any member of the Council may renounce their membership at any time
  • Any member resigning their membership must return all property of the Council in their possession within a reasonable period and in any event within fourteen days of the date of their resignation. Failure to do so will automatically give the Council the right to bring legal action without notice to the member.
  • Any period of grace granted to such resigning members will not in any way be construed as any exemption from the rule and must not be viewed as vitiating the right to the group to commence proceedings at any time.
  • Any cost incurred in such action will be at the costs of the erring member and the group reserves the right to see additional damages wherever applicable.
  • The executive committee may, by resolution passed at a meeting, terminate or suspend the membership of any member, if in its opinion the continued relationship of that member with the Council is prejudicial to the interests and objects of the Council provided that the individual member shall have the right to be heard by the general body before the final decision is made. There shall be a right of appeal to an independent arbitrator from the Patrons agreed to by mutual consent.
